Annual Fund
The Annual Fund helps to support the
day-to-day operations at the Academy and sustain and enhance
academic programs, faculty development and technology. We
rely on the generosity of alumnae, parent, parents of

Capital Giving & 60th Anniversary Plan
Capital Giving provides support to the
Academy for major capital projects that expand and upgrade
the Academy’s facilities. Following the recent addition of
a new wing housing a Technology Center, classrooms and
offices, the Academy is now seeking to renovate its science
laboratories, add enhancements to the athletic fields and
increase the endowment for scholarships. This effort is
called The 60th Anniversary Plan in
conjunction with this year’s 60th Anniversary
celebration of SHA. The support of alumnae, parents,
parents of alumnae and friends is the key to realizing the
goals of the Plan. For more information, please contact

Endowment
The primary purpose of the Sacred
Heart Academy Endowment Fund is to provide scholarships for
students who otherwise might not be able to attend the
Academy. Named Scholarships provide opportunities for
remembrance in perpetuity. Bequests are wonderful ways to
provide a lasting gift to the Academy and the SHA Endowment

Join Us For Great Events During the 2007-2008 School Year
We hope as
family and friends of Sacred Heart Academy, you will be able
to join us for many of the upcoming events planned for the
2007-2008 academic year. It is year promised to be filled
with excitement and enthusiasm! Here’s a look at what’s
ahead:
2007 Ad Campaign –
supporting the SHA production of Beauty and the Beast,
the Ad Campaign will kick off the school year! The dates of
the campaign are September 4 through 21. We ask that each
student assist with the solicitation of ads from family,
alumnae, local businesses and supporters of SHA. In 2006,
the campaign raised in excess of $64,000! Not only did the
students exceed their goal, they also won a day off from
school to celebrate the victory! Here’s to an even more
successful Beauty and the Beast campaign for ’07!
2007-2008 Annual Fund Drive
– The Annual Fund runs July 1 – June 30. We are always
grateful for the overwhelming support we receive for this
important campaign. All funds raised with the Annual Fund
directly benefit our school. The fund supports the
day-to-day operations of running Sacred Heart Academy,
including cleaning services, electric bills, snow removal
and so much more. Alumnae, current and alumnae parents,
businesses and friends are always so generous. Join in and
donate today!
Homes for the Holidays House
Tour – visit beautifully decorated homes in the area
during the 2007 Homes for the Holidays, a House & Seasonal
Decorations Tour. The House Tour will be held on December 1
and will feature not only the tour, but a holiday boutique
and luncheon here at Sacred Heart Academy.
FantaSHA Auction – On
Saturday, March 8, the Philip Paolella, Jr. Recreational
Center will be transformed for our biennial FantaSHA
Auction! Plans are underway for a great night with fabulous
food, incredible silent auction items and a live auction
unparalleled with any other! This is always a magnificent
night for Sacred Heart Academy. Please mark your calendars
now to join us!
Fashion Show - The
Spring Fashion Show and Boutique Sale is always a lovely
evening for the ladies of Sacred Heart Academy. Join us for
a beautiful evening on april 8, 2008 for stunning fashions,
elegant boutiques displaying the latest spring accessories
and fashion for your shopping pleasure and the always
sensational “What Women Want” raffle.
16th Annual Sacred Heart
Academy Golf Tournament – The 16th Annual Golf
Tournament will be held at the incredibly manicured New
Haven Country Club, Hamden’s exclusive private golf course
featuring rolling hills and challenging holes. The
tournament is slated for Monday, May 12th. Please plan to
join us for a great day of golf which includes a fabulous
“hearty” breakfast buffet, 18 holes of golf with carts,
goodie bag, tournament gift and an extraordinary cocktail
party. We end the day with the traditional $10,000 Putting
Contest and tournament prizes.
