In this skills-based course, students learn the fundamentals
of art pertaining to drawing, painting, and design. They use
a variety of techniques and media to complete several short-
and long-term projects.
Studio Art

for the student who enjoys art and is serious about
improving her drawing skills, this course builds on the
fundamentals of drawing and design introduced in Multimedia
Art. Prerequisite: Multimedia Studies in Art
Painting
327paint QP 4.33 GR 11-12 SEM 1,2 .5 CREDIT This course
is an introduction to painting, design and visual concepts.
During their semester-long study, students learn to work
with many painting media and a variety of subjects.
Prerequisite: Studio Art/Permission from Instructor
Art Portfolio
345port QP 4.33 GR 12 SEM 1 .5 CREDIT
Intended only for students who plan college study in studio
art, this course provides students with the opportunity to
build portfolios for presentation to colleges. Student needs
are assessed at the beginning of the class, and that
assessment drives the content of the course. Prerequisite:
Studio Art and Painting; permission from the Instructor
