SECRETARY OF STATE

STUDENT CITIZENSHIP AWARD

Each high school in Connecticut may nominate one senior for this award. One student per Congressional District will be selected to receive this award. A panel of judges consisting of community leaders, educators, and the Secretary of State will make the selection.

Criteria:

· Connecticut high school senior

· Good scholastic record

· Extensive volunteer service to community (health care, hospitals, senior citizen groups, day care centers etc.)

· Participation in school outreach or student government

· Evidence of leadership abilities
