SCHOLARSHIP LISTINGS SACRED HEART ACADEMY

 

Completed Scholarship Applications are due in the Guidance Office by the SHA DEADLINE DATES SHOWN.

 

Students are encouraged to use the Guidance Department workroom to research for additional scholarship opportunities and to obtain information on Merit Scholarships from individual colleges and universities.

AMITY CHARITABLE TRUST FUND – Senior high school students residing in Bethany, East Haven, Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, Orange, West Haven, or Woodbridge are eligible to apply for this scholarship.  You must have a GPA of 3.7 or greater, and a combined SAT of at least 900 (critical reading and math).  Immediate family (parent, children, grandchildren, siblings) of Amity Club members are not eligible.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  SHA DEADLINE:  3/14/08.

 

BERNARD C. HARRIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – Applications for this program are available at www.harrisconnect.com/scholarship.  One college-bound Catholic High School senior in each of four regions nationwide will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  SHA will nominate one student as our applicant.  Candidates must demonstrate financial need, entrepreneurial spirit, superior family values and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  SHA DEADLINE:  2/25/08.

 

CONNECTICUT ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATIONAL OFFICE PROFESSIONALSConnecticut High School students planning to pursue a business career are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. Financial need, scholastic ability, extracurricular activity, leadership, and civic involvement will be considered.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  SHA DEADLINE:  2/11/08

 

NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR COOPERATIVE EDUCATION – This is a merit based co-op scholarship program.  To be eligible you must have applied to and be accepted and planning to attend one of the ten NCCE Partner Colleges/Universities:  CW Post Campus of Long Island University; Johnson & Wales University; Northeastern University; Rochester Institute of Technology; University of Toledo; Drexel University; Kettering University; Pace University; University of Cincinnati; Wentworth Institute of Technology.  Additional information and an application can be obtained at www.co-op.neu.  PROGRAM DEADLINE:  2/15/08

 

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
