Students are encouraged to use the Guidance Department workroom to research for additional scholarship opportunities and to obtain information on Merit Scholarships from individual colleges and universities.

WEST HAVEN ROTARY CLUB “STUDENT OF THE MONTH” PROGRAM

All high school seniors who reside in West Haven are invited to submit an application for this program. The “Student of the Month” is selected on the basis of the student’s academic achievement, and on the basis of commitment and contributions to his/her community, school and family. In addition, the West Haven Rotary Club awards a $500 scholarship each June to the “Student of the Year” chosen from among the “Student of the Month” honorees. DE SALES UNIVERSITY – DeSales University provides University Grant assistance in the amount of $10,000 ($2,500 per year) to graduates of private Catholic high schools. For additional information, please call (877) 4DESALES or visit www.desales.edu/scholarships.

ELKS 2008 MOST VALUABLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP - The Elks National Foundation awards a total of 500 scholarships nationwide. High school seniors, who apply, must be U.S. citizens. Scholarship, leadership, and financial need are judging criteria. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
