Completed Scholarship Applications are due in the Guidance Office by the SHA DEADLINE DATES SHOWN.

 

Students are encouraged to use the Guidance Department workroom to research for additional scholarship opportunities and to obtain information on Merit Scholarships from individual colleges and universities.

RON BROWN SCHOLAR PROGRAM – To be eligible, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, Black or African American and current high school seniors at the time of their application.  Applicants must excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential and make an impact on their communities through service to others.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  SHA DEADLINE:  10/19/07.

 

2008 SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS – In recognition of the important contributions made by engineers the SAE International offers a number of scholarships to qualified students who are interested in the study of engineering or the related sciences.   You must be a high school senior, citizen of the United States, and meet the minimum requirements with regard to each scholarship. Grade point average, SAT I and or ACT scores are outlined for each scholarship.  More detailed information is contained in the application.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  SHA DEADLINE:  11/16/07.

 

BOSTON COLLEGE PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS – This program attracts students of outstanding talent and character who strive to become leaders with integrity and vision.   Fifteen full-tuition scholarships, renewable for four years, based upon demonstrated academic merit, will be awarded. To be considered for this program, students must apply to Boston College by the Early Action deadline of November 1.   Please call (800) 360-2522 for additional information.
